Stations that play Christmas music

I won’t say the frequency this someone with a transmitter, I heard a week or two ago, I could pick up the stereo on my pocket radio. It has been going since 1994, it was a vfo, afew years later it was always on frequency, crystal clear stereo, would either play rock music or relay a classic rock station, about 5w. I didn’t hear it for a number of years then appeared during the 2010’s, it has only been coming back at christmas these past few years playing christmas music, seemed to play a number of unplugged versions of songs, together in electric dreams was one that I heard.

I’ve only heard of one other broadcaster over the past year or two, was relaying prodigy songs, had much weaker signal, it was down at the bottom end of the band, they might of had their aerial indoors, maybe coming from further away. I do wonder myself how the other one keeps the equipment going, only Chinese transmitters are available, it is extremely high quality. I guess these things are pirate too, I suppose I don't consider them pirate, not like the towerblock stations running 100's of watts. I wonder if any stations will come on your own area, I was hoping something on Christmas day but nothing is there. I did consider putting something together a few years ago, remixes of christmas songs having my own playlist, never got round to it, I suppose I don't consider doing anything of this nature any other time or day of the year.

Every Christmas i think the same thing I used to hear a station appear ever now and then occasional weekends and then mainly xmas and new years I bet ona few necks having a little easy setup doing a kind of.... for old times sake couple of hours. DJ's who like to DJ switching on for a bit that kind of thing. A little relay here and there of old time stations. Mark the occasion with a slightly drunken local return to the airwaves.

Worth keeping a little listen out for, for sure.

Since 94 eh.. 30 years that is some regularity even if only for a xmas laugh

It came back on christmas day not sure how long it had been there, i can’t listen to christmas music now, lot of this was unplugged, one song fades out another fades in, it was chilled out. It comes from the era were i was trying to hear pirates from 10’s of miles away on sub standarn equipment, it was exciting when it came along only a mile away, decent signal, closest you ever got to pump up the volume no shock jock.
They did take it with them when they moved, it was on alot in the late 90’s don’t know what happened to it, maybe they got bored. its interesting they’ve always kept the same frequency, there is a station 100khz outside of the area, I guess only want to hear it a mile or two away, its good its kept the same frequency, i know were to listen for it. I can pick it up my loft antenna here, the other station does break through abit, on my pocket radio at the front of the house I get a stereo signal, very rare for something unlicenced to do that.
