I've noticed this been completely off air since this morning, don’t know about the other frequencies but nothing there on 95.7.

Yeah maybe, it appears to be back now, there was also a greatest hits transmitter I couldn’t hear on 97.1, not sure were this is from the signal is ropey on it alot of the time. The old minster fm transmitter also had an outage last week, it relays greatest hits now

I did think they’d switched off for the wind, what station would do that, the wind is often blowing round these parts, at some point you’ve got to leave it up. Radio Cleveland 95.0 was also off or reduced power at the sametime, they had the right idea making emley moor from concrete, tower with guyed rope ice builds up, then it comes crashing down.

There is still two masts at Emley on google street view, a woman carrying here her shopping by, were she's going I don't know, the things we see

Greatest Hits on 97.1 is from Hoylandswaine which is the same transmitter site as Penistone FM use for their 95.7 transmitter so it could have been a power outage at the site.

I think 97.1 was linked with dearne fm, it does seem inefficient having all these greatest hits transmitters around, more things to go wrong, unlikely to blow a triode, capital heart have 3 transmitters to cover west/south yorkshire. I guess putting up the infrastructure so greatest hits and hits have the same would cost too much to do.
