Just had a scan and found the above, in English but the noise is terrible, an internet search says possibly weekend music radio.
This is at 11am 9/3/25 on Tyneside, signal was getting stronger so will have another go later.
First I have discovered in best part of half a century.

Nice, WMR can produce a massive signal under the right conditions, as can any station on these wavelengths. 70 - 600miles up down propogation can produce some big signals. The noise and fading is a challenge for a pleasant listening experience on SW it is true, even giant signals are phasing and fading all the time, probably multiple paths and ionization levels causing it. And any local noise on top.
The funny thing is anyone with 12m of wire and a few radials and a ham radio can be a pirate on this band a lot easier than MW as a basic rig is there already and a lot less wire needed.

no signal here i'm only using a hand held scanner, nice to know the frequency thought, i've heard Chinese transmitters in the past very strongly on just the rubber duck antenna.

I was just using the telescopic antenna the retekess110 came with, anything bigger just makes the noise bigger.
I heard him play Van Morrison, the days before rock and roll, a song I didn't know, looking at the lyrics it's about tuning across the dial to hear stations in Europe, then there was a recording from an old pirate station I think.
I will have another listen next weekend.

09 45 sunday 16/3/25 I have put up a bit of a long wire and just heard a station ID, it is indeed weekend music radio and the are playing rain or shine by 5Star, doubtless a tribute as one of them died this week.

Thanks to the neighbourhood interference producer I have 32dB of noise across 48m band 2 m of wire up the wall. And WMR just creeps through the noise every now and then with indiscernible music this morning. Rock music it sounds like to me.
Amazing how junk can interfere from 0.5 MHz - 108 MHz.

interesting i’ve noticed the same tone on am i’ve heard on fm, it dosen’t effect stations that much, you can’t sit there listening to a blank fm frequency for long, its not just the pure nice white noise that you would get, something been added to it in the background. I always though when all fm stations were switched off we'd get nice white noise again, would go full circle, things going back to what they were, would sit there listening to it very loudly, seems like will be left with this awful interference, something you couldn't sit there listening to.

27-30dB noise here with 2m wire up the wall indoors, cannot hear anything on. There is a geomagnetic storm in progress so bands are probably blocked D layer absorbing too much waves to reflect from F layer.

i'll have to look into getting the retekess110, I have a tiny radio with a circular aerial, dosen't pick up anything on am at all, fm isn't bad not as selective as a tef. I was hoping to use the tef to tune below 87.5, to try and hear dutch pirates, it just jumps down and goes to 65mhz, some band which stops at 75mhz or something, it has an antenna socket too, quite a useful radio, its battery powered I can connect my fm aerial in the loft to it there, avoiding having to go up and down in the loft.

I absolutely love mine, it takes a while to get used to the menus but the more you use it the easier it gets.
