reading a group last night, someone said they could hear something on 87.7, different from the bradford rsl, there now and again, maybe someone nearby, frequent lee said they might put something on, i think i worked this out the other day their name stands for frequency leeds. There was someone there who had a tx on 87.7 sounded like their were just going there on hoilday, i don’t think it would be a good place to go on hoilday with a tx.
It was interesting as i’m not usually able to look at the group, I found it while searching for something, there are still numrous dxers listening to fm.

I won't be putting anything on the FM band, we're just in the process of getting the DSP licence and all the necessary formalities complete so we're ready to relaunch Frequency on a couple of SS-DAB multiplexes early next year.

wow interesting information we didn’t know, I know that pirateadict is not a fan of dab for others out there it is good news. I didn’t think it was you shame though i’d quite like to hear some d n b again on 88.1, maybe i’ll get something going round the house.
Over the other side of the pennines seemed to do that thing of switching on at bank hoildays, I got that impression with there been nothing there now something in Leeds might switch on a bank hoilday, i’m not keen stuff switching on fleetingly its better than nothing all, tx is there to be used not sit in cupboard. The 87.7 sounded from the 2 videos that were posted more like in car transmitter, someone over in Wakefield couldn't hear it.

The 87.7 MHz thing that's broadcast at the moment is pretty weak where I'm located in Leeds, it sounds like the usual RSL by the Asians and it's a similar signal strength and modulation on my cars system.
I've often thought about doing the odd rainy bank holiday pop up pirate now and again but I'm confident that I'd have a knock on my door pretty sharpish from my old pals at the Birmingham Ofcom fun police.
If I did anything I would do it old school pirate style and everything pre recorded and a cheap throw away tx up a tree

Or8 Frequent lee.. Brilliant news mate about frequency...I may even have to invest in a dab radio unless the station is online as i hope! Back when i had a dab radio i could pick up west Yorkshire multiplexes from leed and Huddersfield and Bradford too! Now if i got an outdoor dab aerial above me roofline i would pick them all up with more than 1 or 2 bars definitely!

I get the bford 87.7 weak too, think their on the forum, don’t think they can change their set up its always the same everytime they switch on.
Suppose it might fade in out if its in a tree, theres a brimingham in amercia leeds too, suppose they can fined over there alot.
A chancer might use 87.9, with dance asia getting a licence on dab, it nolonger doing rsl’s on the frequency, don't seem to hear ramadan rsls on 87.9 there either now, it might become the next inovat8 radio dipole swinging in the breeze, I suppose this is all unlikely.

hello hello all, im a bit late to this now rsl’s off lol but yes was me on 87.7 from bradford! Same equipment everything. I was supposed to use BaO this time, but my TX-FM1 isn’t taking XLR inputs, It’s been modified to take a composite output from my IDT unit, And i just couldn’t get it calibrated correctly in time for the RSL so stuck with the old setup. I’m looking for a BW Broadcast unit though if anyone has a TX lying about, Iv got a for bit of spare kit swaps/etc inbox me….
