Friday nights were quite good on Tv as I recall now nothing like it on for young people. There was some fun progs like The Word and Eurotrash.

I remember the kind of bands from up north, they played a lot of "Indy" music on it... like these

The Word was a great show and often your heart was in your mouth watching it as there were plenty of awkward moments. You literally had no idea what was going to happen next

Probably my favorite moment was when public enemy played. In true Word fashion it goes a bit wobbly :whistle at the beginning but I loved the Flavor Flav improv :D

You are rigth it was edgy, the word. a bit of a chaotic too cool for school feeling but it was unique like an argument was going to happen after a guest is offended and slightly agitated crowd wooping and barely under control. Like someone was with a video camera at some brightly lit urban dive bar.Late night Tv get away with a bit more, they had this very weird section called... 'I would do anything to get onto TV' and then some random person who wrote in to the show would do something total disgusting as instructed,

cannot see that happening these days.

The music was out of the ordinary, remember grunge ? that rocker gets her muff out at the end, crazy
