I have me Tecsun PL-310 ET with enhanced whip antenna in a its "high spot" in the room, where my Xmas chill out zone is going to be current tuned into my local pirate. I will do some tuning about to see if any xmas crackers pop up on the dial. Maybe not but we can hold out hope.

I will occasionally move to other rooms that have less noise over the dial from cruddy neighbouring PSUs. If I want to check for any skip or other loong distance signals on the fog.

Any plans for Xmas radio or more of a back ground thing ?

There might be change for kW level shortwave mayhem by my couple friends, if they get suitable location with 3 phase power far away from civilization....

Good call might be worth having ears on AM/SW.

I've had me ears on shortwave this morning via the Twente SDR - not much doing apart from R. Casanova which I'm not sure is even a pirate anymore. I'm sure we'll get a good crop of pirates over the coming week though. As for the FM up here in the Manchester area - absolutely sod all going on and I've got a little receiver monitoring various frequencies. Sign of the times maybe?

No unusual signals or music here either so far, I have a spin every now and then and check.

Would be a great time to have a nieghbourhood station going all day, you never hear of any, maybe abit of dj remix factory, I always used to think the day when people would get hifi would tuning over fm might hear something new, I suppose not that way now.
I checked over fm I couldn’t hear the station, that sometimes comes back at christmas, playing christmasy music and unplugged versions…I feel maybe talking about it last year has made it dissappear.

I managed to get alberts mk 2 stereo encoder working, i’m doing mods to it, I think I might of been the only one messing about with this stuff christmas day, then you have get back to watching snow white, alot of the music in it is really nice and bassy sounds like polka you'd get on a dutch pirate
