Thank you for your request for information regarding the cost to Ofcom of hiring staff and
redundancies which we received on 18 June 2012 and have considered under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’). I have answered your questions in turn below.

1a. How many staff have been made redundant by your organisation in each of the
financial years for the last five years including the current one?

2007/08 - 44
2008/09 - 5
2009/10 - 9
2010/11 - 148
2011/12 - 17

1b.What are the total costs of redundancy to your organisation in each of those
years?

2007/08 - £2,137
2008/09 - £309
2009/10 - £617
2010/11 - £6,135
2011/12 - £193

Total costs, are those the right figures or are those all missing 2 or 3 zeros?

No that's the full figure. It seems very low to me.

It makes no sense on its own that's for sure. Is that what they paid in remuneration packages? What it cost to send 'sorry were gonna have to let you go' letters out? £309 to get rid of 5 persons in 09, but only £193 for 17 in 2012? Lol Wtf? Lol fucking hell they might as well not bothered replying to that bit, useless figures.
