A very bad move in my eyes what with the free for all that's going on at the moment from 87.5 upwards that will effect their coverage for sure not to mention when com start to get busy this year the bottom of the dial will be a no go area again..
Good luck to freek on the move but I hope the owners are very prepared for the extra work load that comes with being that far down the dial!

Re: The free for all on the lower bands, on 87.5 alone in the last 3 days I've heard Swift FM (moved from 87.8 a couple weeks back), UK Raw & I'm now getting some old rock music (which has been popping up on random Sundays on 87.5 in this part of the world for a few months now) - Fuck knows who or what that is?!

From what I can see it's not a move to 87.9 there's a red bull music academy rsl on for that date with djs like hype representing phantasy. Deekline from flex someone from freek, someone from dejavu Eastman from kool etc basically just playing sets representing the places/stations they came from...

DAB yea, will that be a UK's first or has another station already done DAB before.

There's something on in Watford too, RSL. Will probably be more hassle than it's worth but we'll just have to wait and see. Anyone know what's going on with 90.6? Sure they were saying if anyone comes on it they'll be removed over this forum, not so long ago!?

This has been done already, have the pics to prove it! The thing about DAB broadcast is that you need 1000w+ to cover a decent area of London, The money needed is questionable and then you need to ask will COM let anyone settle on the digital band they though nobody could enter.
Did they not realise wherever there is a will there is a way!

Wow Good luck to them hope it all goes swimmingly for them looks like its all a legal thing thay are doing going by these previous posts by biggiedan ^^^ just curious as I've done the DAB Broadcast thing also and also got photo proof we even still got the set up to put it on if we wanted but personally I think it is a bad move going DAB right now. Anyway we done test runs for a few hours at a time but we did not go ahead with it as no other pirate is on there yet and also the not knowing how the com would react to it. plus we are on the fm and the web and doing well and did not want to jeopardise things but my guess is they wouldn't let you last no more than three minutes on the digital band as chesney79 said thay think it is/was pirate proof but we cracked it a long long time ago but just ant had the bottle to leave it on.. Lol nothing like the truth.

A insider tells me it a 2 week legal broadcast 87.9 and DAB. FairPlay to red bull as the line up they got could shut down any dance! Looks like a good listen to me
