Doing the usual station hoping in the van on M25 and noticed Vision was getting some interference from 88.3 Claptrap Ramadan in High Wycombe.
They are bunging them everywhere this year
looking at the current RSL list IMHO it looks like Ofcom have put RSL close to pirate but not on a pirates freq knowing pirates won't give up and carry on !
Ie Wimbledon court 1 on 97.8
Divine 97.9
Ramadan High Wycombe 88.3
Vision 88.4
Ramadan Southall 101.4
Empire 101.5

I have noticed over the last week or so that Vision seems to have a lower signal strength than usual, currently my Sony is registering 33-36dB (I usually get them 43-46dB).
What sort of power are these ramadan rsl's?

Usually around 10-25w ERP but that doesn't mean to say they don't crank them up higher, what with them usually being given TX50's to compensate for the slight loss in the feeders so they run them flat out!

When I lived in Manchester a few years ago, at this time of year I had 2 of them on 87.7 at the same time and one on 87.9.
....There's also many Mosque's which broadcast over the 454MHz band, they are called Masjid broadcasts but happen all year round. So if you ever wondered what a strange looking aerial is doing on top of those very strange looking buildings, now you know!

Interesting, and what exactly are they broadcasting on this high frequency? I was listening to Ramadan radio rsl yesterday (broadcast from Greenwich Islamic Centre), already stirring up trouble and only been on air for a few days! lol

It sounds like their prayers, like a man singing and humming in their language.
There's absolutely shit loads of them in Manchester.
They sell special receivers to tune into them with only the UHF channels on them which they broadcast on. It's still in narrow band (NFM) mode but in 25KHz bandwidth and not 12.5KHz like most narrow band is these days.
