Greetings Necks! :)
I started this thread to find out a bit more about what kind of gear DJs are using these days in most pirate stations?
My DJ career started on soundlab belt drive turntables, then when i managed to get some cash? i moved on to the technics 1200 mk2s (which i still have) as we moved into the digital age, CDs are the main media for me!
I have some Denon DN-D4500 which i bought a few years ago (not great) and ive bashed them about doing parties etc they are still performing like new! :)
Ive also used most of the others on the market at one time or another, pioneer, serrato and virtual dj etc!
Ive tuned into house fm and select many times whilst at work and they sound excellent? but i do get the feeling that the mixes are too perfect?? loops and beatmapping may be involved??
or maybe its just me?? lol

Some of the Select DJ's use laptops. Most stations from experience use a Pioneer CDJ variant. House music is quite easy to mix with as most of it's the same tempo :whistle

Lots of DJs round here turn up with Traktor on a laptop and one of those decks and mixer in one things and enjoy the sync button. Fair enough to them, it's when they play shite music ("deep house") that I get annoyed and think the usual comments.

I use Serato and 1210s on the radio but I do have a decent sized vinyl collection at home.
