We lock in to silk city when in the area. very strong signal around the billesley / kings heath area.

That's not really that far from them, especially considering station's from that area using less than half of their power use to hit Oxford back in the day, oh how time's have changed!!

They sure have, None of them hit anywhere near Oxford. The closest is Hot 92 which gets just about to the edge of Banbury if its lucky.

Haha, good luck. I think the most you will get (if you're close enough to their small coverage area to receive it) will be Irie 105.8.

Still not heard them yet, but then it's been a while since I travelled through Manchester City centre.

Yeah so I heard, but I'm still in touch with the guy who ran Blitz 100.7 and he informed me that they are back on again now.

....Also Buzz are supposed to be making a come back after 7 years some time soon, but I doubt they'll be back on the same block again as it's been completely transformed from the shit pit that it was to a very modernised look.

Would be nice to hear Buzz return, Mixology too.

I know where you're referring to with Buzz, and the whole area has been virtually regenerated. There's still some derelict tower blocks around here that shouldn't be too difficult to get into though.

There's plenty of free FM space over here and Pirates are seriously needed.

Yeah I know the ones you mean around Collyhurst, Miles Platting, Ancoats areas. They are in a right state and have been derelict for the best part of 20 years! With a little expertise you could easily turn the power back on, plug in your rig and you're well away!

...Personally though I'd use a hill top site as there's some SERIOUS hills around there, as I'm sure you're well aware.

The buzz station you are going on about is not the old buzz its a new station .. But its pritty much rubbish .. Rubbish audio . Rubbish signal .. Pointless station

I know it's a Midlands thread but the Buzz and Irie they're talking about are in Manchester. Irie is on, the rumoured Buzz return hasn't happened.
