Anyone got one of these ? What is the maximum output it can handle without popping ? I.e maximum voltage it will handle and how many watts the rd15hvf1 is capable of pushing out ?Jpl995 15w+ amplifier

Depends how the circuit feels. You get it to self oscillate and bang out 30w.
It's probably best left alone, unless you're a hobbyist and likes to test these boards on some proper test gear.

Btw, due to the configuration, I wouldn't go above 12v without risking blowing the 12hvf1.

Probably better getting something like this instead and buying your own transistor.

That thing, like most things JPL995 lists, is a pile of shit; I've already commented about it on here a few days ago, so I won't go on about it again.Dan wrote:Anyone got one of these ? It's garbage.
Teckniqs bought the same thing as I did from the Turkish Guy, cheap as chips, but I still haven't got around to even testing it as the specification was wrong (input power) in the eBay description when we bought it.
This is good value for money, well constructed, doesn't even break a sweat, and comes biased properly with an heatsink... http://www.enigma-shop.com/index.php?op ... ifier-fm15
