signal was weak when I was down that way tried searching on tunin can't find it nowhere

99.8 was much weaker then they where on 99.9. could only just make it out through the static.

Had a strong 'blank carrier' on 99.9fm last night, top of Ashton Court, Bristol.

No RDS ???

If it's local to Bristol then it's a very bad choice of frequencies...

Ah, I was gonna switch the Tecsun on last night but never did. I was taking a break from computer screens for the evening so wasn't on the SDR.

No sign of it right now on the SDR, but there's a bit of lift happening (only boosting national BBC freqs at the moment), and it's possible last night had a bit of that going on too so it could've been coming in on that.

Classic is on 100, 100.1, 100.2, 3, 4 - but none of them local. 100 is fairly strong at times though, so not the best place. 99.8 would work better as there's nothing strong near, only occasional 99.7 radio 1 when the weather is right, and that's pretty weak. Bare in mind, that's only where I am, and I'm not central. Could be worse further south.
