Adults don't do Facebook. Set up a website - overseas - put your details up there.

"Because it doesn't know the words!"

The Manchester radio scene has been dead for years and it's a real shame. Over the years there's been one or two things come and go but not a lot. Look out for 87.5 and 101.5 around Lancs and Cheshire on the next bank holiday.

Legacy UK will be on for the whole of the Bank Holiday weekend on 87.5. Check out 87.7, the unidentified station may make a reappearance. Also 100.7 Love NRG coming from Manchester area.

Never heard Irie yet as I've never been close enough to hear them.
Love NRG isn't worth listening to in my opinion. Day 1 was pretty good, but things have deteriorated terribly ever since.
We need something like Mixology 101.5 back as there was serious effort and a real Pirate feeling put into it.

LOL @ Love NRG isn't worth listening to in my opinion. Day 1 was pretty good, but things have deteriorated terribly ever since. What a crock of shit ha ha weve improved vastly and couldnt sound any more pirate and as for mixology whats that the fly by night station lol , efforst bro cant see much more effort than being on 24/7 with a wide variety of djs and different genres not just the same music like mixology was and i repeat WAS !!! LOL some people on here give me jokes.MiXiN wrote:Never heard Irie yet as I've never been close enough to hear them.

Love NRG has a fair point. Regardless of if it's worth listening to or not just to get something up and running is not the easiest of tasks. To have something on 24/7 is something to be respected. Manchester once had a fantastic pirate scene and it just seemed to fizzle out. Hats off to anyone involved in keeping the scene alive.

Actually now you mention it, doesn't this mean Love NRG is Manchester's first 24/7 pirate?

Re: Any pirates in Greater Manchester area?
I go back a bit further than that. Soul Nation were 24/7 and I *think* Unity and Frontline too, for a period. This is going back to the early - mid 90s. Wayyyy before that KFM (strictly speaking it was Stockport but covered Manchester) 24/7 from early 84 until mid 85. We're talking true 24/7 here too, i.e. presenters on air, no auto DJs, recorded stuff or relays.
By the way Eclipse what's the deal with relaying 106.6?

Re: Any pirates in Greater Manchester area?
Yep. I doubled North Manchester's audience figures just by listening on 100.7
