Starting out - which FM tx to buy?

Did anyone on here get one of the SX Platinum exciters and if so, do you recommend them?

I was considering one, but upon pondering I thought it was a little expensive for what is is - compounded with the fact that there's no website to buy it from.

If they were a little cheaper I'd no doubt try one.
