Re: NRG stuff
Kanga once sold NRG kits off list, but I'm not sure if he still does as I've not seen him on this forum since its reinvention.
www.nrgkits.co.uk/cms/ has a website and is based in London, but unless you contact him there's no option to physically buy off the Web page itself. The owner of this is also on eBay & often lists on there with the username "nrg-uk".
I think Gareth from NRG in New Zealand has stopped exporting to the UK and only sells local (read this in some Yahoo group), but things might have changed since I read this a while ago.

Cheers Mixin. A friend was asking about rigs, and mentioned Areff / Veronica / Chinese rigs - you name it. I managed to put him off all of that, but needed to advise him to buy something else.

I'm still here selling kits and boxed units locally in NZ, I stopped exporting when someone copied upgrades I had done 1:1, mass produced pcbs and sold them on eBay under the name AndrewKits.
I'm currently working on the next version which will be the PLL pro5, I have several prototypes on my bench.
New features are an LCD display with push buttons to set the freq and no requirement for a "tuning capacitor".
I have also gone for a longer lock time using a lead lag configuration in the loop filter, this improves the mod freq response < 100hz, theres very little difference in deviation +/-1khz between a 30hz and 1khz square wave test tone, and it's relatively flat right upto 57khz.
It will also use a PLL and PIC with propriatory hex code preloaded and protected. I'll be shipping internationally again once I have this in production, anyone wanting to mass copy the pcb will need to redesign the PLL, or use their own PLL.

I've got to be honest, I'm guilty of buying a Pro4 PCB from Andrewkits - but credit where it's due, they were much better quality than the Pro3 originals. I never got hold of an original Pro4 so can't comment.nrgkits.nz wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2017 10:51 am I'm still here selling kits and boxed units locally in NZ, I stopped exporting when someone copied upgrades I had done 1:1, mass produced pcbs and sold them on eBay under the name AndrewKits.

How much will you be selling the Pro5 for, and is the board as large as the previous versions?

Re: NRG stuff
There was a newer version made in an old thread here by mr Berlin. not sure if he is selling these anymore, might be worth a shot. I know he designed a newer one but I'm yet to see it. I blew up the output transistor on mine, like a twat I tried to run it at 28v by mistake
It was back in 2015

Scroll down and he has posted a pic of it

I did ask him how much he wanted for one, but I never got a reply & I've never seen one listed on eBay.
Looks like a decent piece of kit.

Re: NRG stuff
Price is yet to be decided, it really depends on the cost of components and pcbs. I still have hundreds of 2SC1947's from Christine.MiXiN wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2017 11:39 amI've got to be honest, I'm guilty of buying a Pro4 PCB from Andrewkits - but credit where it's due, they were much better quality than the Pro3 originals. The board is the same height but the width is much less with the PLL components arranged down the right hand side. It's all stil DIP so people can construct it and the pcb is double sided. RF output will be through an SMA connector mounted on PCB.
I had a look at the pro5 in other thread, it's SMD so is a lot smaller but still looks like it includes the tuning capacitor.
