Stomp FM was my favourite radio station back then. It really filled the gap left by the departure of such stations as Solar, Horizon, LWR, JFM, KISS, Starpoint and yes I do remember Fame FM. I used to tune in from the moment they switched on at 7pm Friday evening, right through until closedown midnight Sunday. It really was a class station if you were into soul music and had some fantastic presenters, some of which I got to know during that two year period. Does anyone remember the legendary link up with Sunrise 88.75 on Stomp's final day? After they closed they returned to the airwaves, I think it was on Christmas Eve under the name of Concept FM. Sadly this venture didn't last too long. I really hope that it is Stomp that have returned on 92.8, or is it someone relaying the internet version, which sadly if I'm honest is a pale imitation of the mighty FM service. I can't check at the moment as I'm out or the London area for the weekend. Fame... maybe you can keep us posted if it is indeed the original Stomp back on the air. Here's hoping. Cheers.

Rumour has it that it's the original lads at it again!
"Why is my rig humming?"
"Because it doesn't know the words!"

Thats what it sounded like the other day what's next Chris Stewart to bring back the original horizon? That would be something. I must admit solar radio now doesn't seem to have the same impact now as the old days as a pirate in the 80s

Picking up Stomp here in Romford on 92.8 although the signal is fairly weak. They are definitely not broadcasting from my neck of the woods this time around.
