Some of it was factually inaccurate, some of it was slanted propaganda, but most of it was OK. Also I'm in it .......

"Why is my rig humming?"
"Because it doesn't know the words!"

I have to agree with Albert!
Whilst I enjoyed the documentary, The only reason they showed it is to boost ratings for Radio 1 as it is their anniversary! The BBC were the very ones who lobbied the government for enforcement!! The message is still the same! Pirates in any form are 'Bad Nasty Criminals'

Re: pirate radio show on bbc4
The chronology was a bit wrong in places (some stations were using links in the 1970s!) and there were many more stations that were significant.... They just majored on LWR and Kiss because Zak and Uncle Pervy made themselves available for interview.
Some stations had much bigger audiences than LWR and Kiss. LWR was always distorted and overmodulated, and Kiss generally had a piss-poor signal. Stations like Solar, TKO and Invicta had much higher technical standards, and DBC had a gigantic audience. "Time" was also huge.....

The dial is Glowing 88-108 , spin the wheel to light those Red LEDs , see signal needle rise.
