Judging by the streams it seems as though either Slam and Surprise are now one entity, or Surprise are simply relaying Slam nowadays.

Streams updated a little but I seem to be having problems playing back the streams at the moment to validate them when using VLC player. Certain stations are playing other stations?

Why is flesfm using an ip address tell them to convert that to a domain name. Just a security issue doing it that way.

How is using an IP worse security than using a domain name? If anything a malicious DNS server could spoof the domain name, making a domain worse. Using an IP looks unprofessional imho but it's not insecure.

You can use any dns change anytime. That's how prefer them. Just the ip is to easy for them. So using there servers is probably a better approach unless you can handle your servers then all good. But it's just an option
