Re: House FM Back on 88.6
I have left the area now so I have not heard it yet funny it's 9 years since they moved to 100.3 and back 2 back took over 88.6 I am sure they are part of the same organisation? Over the years 100.3 became more of a problem staying on air

They tried to go legal at one point but Ofcom rejected their application, it was in one of the licensing updates no idea which one.

It was house on 88.6 from 2002 till 2010 then they let b2b have it. I think they are working together?

I don't understand why House FM don't just use 100.3 again, it's clear in London, it's 0.3 away from Kiss and 0.3 away from Classic which is perfect (not 0.2 away from BBC Radio 2 London like 88.6).

Re: House FM Back on 88.6
I think they had to many problems from ofcom isn't there an ilr on 100.2 and another on 100.4 that were not on when house first used 100.3? And they might have noticed for the last 3 years 88.6 didn't have anything like as much attention as 100.3 was getting and no one else seemed in a hurry to use 100.3? And I am sure the 2 stations are working together

Re: House FM Back on 88.6
They've been on 88.6 for a while as previous band scan on here confirmed. The management of each is separate with some cooperation. Blank carrier now, relatively weak signal here NE side. Owner of B2B got a slot on DAB legal late night, so the air motivation is elsewhere

Depends where you are, in NE 100.3 is terrible, Classic crossover & KM 100.4 outta Kent. 88.6 is clearer

The only time 100.3 was any good was the first 2 years house used it I think it was very high up later on 100.3 classic burst into the signal even as far into London as Hammersmith

I quite like House FM. Sound quality the same as it always has been on FM though, a bit dull. As if they have no pre-emphasis, just a basic compressor. Web stream sounds a lot better.

Re: House FM Back on 88.6
OK fair enough, yeah I would have thought 100.3 would work a bit better over their part of London but I didn't know they had problems on there.famefm wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 9:54 pm I think they had to many problems from ofcom isn't there an ilr on 100.2 and another on 100.4 that were not on when house first used 100.3? 100.2 is some station over Clacton ways (Greatest Hits/Prev Dream Radio) which shouldn't affect it
And KMFM 100.4 over Gilliingham running about 300w which shouldn't cause any problems either.
But yeah Classic FM on 100.3 from Isle of Wight running big power and can come in strong at times but I think Rinse got away with it on 100.3/100.4.
There was a time a few years ago we had 100.2 and 100.4 both in use and now that part of the dial is completely clear, I think we had that low power TheHouseOfGarage on 100.2 quite recently but nothing else since.
.....Back in the day 100.2/.3/.4 would never be a clear dial.

Maybe Back2Back will jump on 100.3 lol.

OK fair enough then, I think NE is roughly their kind of aera so that makes more sense now.Lordunderground wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 10:39 pmDepends where you are, in NE 100.3 is terrible, Classic crossover & KM 100.4 outta Kent. 88.6 is clearer
