Comet CFM95SL 5/8 wave

Post by mpx » Tue Feb 16, 2021 10:30 am

Has anyone used the Comet CFM95SL? Any good?

Has anyone had any dealings with DMR Electronics?

Thanks

They are selling the PCS version of this antenna, https://www.dmr-electronics.com/en/high ... -wave.html Which is known to be a copy. Ive had a couple from Norwalk Electronics instead which are the real deal.

The "Exterminator", yes. It's described as 3/4 wave whereas the Dominator is 0.82 wave.

I guess DMR are just a re-seller.

They are listing the Comet as the real deal though.

Back to my original question :) has anyone used one, any good?

And are DMR safe to deal with?

Thanks

The comet is a great antenna!
I know 2 stations that previously used a single dipole and switched to this Comet...works a lot better compared to a single dipole.

I'm using the Norwalk dominator for more then 10 years now, and can say that it's also a great antenna.
Some people claim that it is equivalent to a pair of stacked dipoles.
I can only say that it works WAY WAY better then a single dipole..
