Hearing something on 88.6

Posted in outer London forum aswell, seems to be some trance playlist on 88.6. North Kent here.

Best thing to do is check House fm's stream and see if it matches what you're hearing on FM.

....I didn't know they played Trance but they are the only station on 88.6FM as far as I'm aware.

I did check the steam and it did sound like he said trancey stuff about 7 this evening on house and they have even played the drum and bass track lately and if I remember rightly it did get out across the London side of Kent

Yeah I heard garage, trance and drum and bass, I think I heard a lockdown fm shout out. I am north Kent coast. It turned off around half 9. I think it was an autodj but they was playing some bangers

Wasn't there a lockdown fm on 88.8 around kent recently? must've moved frequency

Yeah I've caught it up there aswell I think, I think it has moved to 88.6. It don't seem to be on today though

House FM now have RDS and the audio is better but over mod - too loud and bassy

Really? Last time house fm used RDS was about 8 years ago on 100.3

Deviation bandwidth is >225kHz due to very low bass frequencies, I'm guessing no HPF present. Also currently sounds like they've left a sweeping flanger filter on.

Yes there are two stations on 88.6. House FM from London and Lockdown FM from east Kent with low power I can only assume because signal not reaching out too far.

I think your right about the two stations, one being low powered in Kent, I actually got the lockdown rds in the van yesterday, can only get it certain areas, was playing an old stevie hyper d set yesterday morning lol
