Whenever I heard freeze in London they were always playing reggae or RNB type music so I though it was a African station .

Are you sure? There was another station at the time also on 92.7 I can't remember the name I used to able to get it when freeze wasn't on and it was quite powerful I just can't remember the name and it was not the rock 92.6

I had a quick flick through, only looking for Kangas bit and couldn't find it. From what I see, that will probably be one of the only pirate radio bits.

I got a few minutes in and the repeated video effects were a bit irritating so I stopped watching.

I don't think it was meant to be a tribute to pirate radio as such, just a story about freeze fm. I found it pretty interesting, Kanga is on there talking about his arrest etc. Currently trying to tie him down to get in the studio and do my podcast for the full story!! Getting there though...

Just got off a zoom call with Outlaw, recording the next episode of my podcast. He's gonna be working on a few bits he mentioned... and theres some ideas in the pipeline with a few other people I've been speaking to as well. More content on the history of it would be great.

Don't know if it was just gossip but apparently Adam Freeze got beaten quite badly by bassball bat by another stn and put in hospital and then he quit doing radio is this true?

That was the bit missing from the documentary, station tales. Actual owners/management of the station seemed absent from it. Rinse documentary was much better with their founders visiting the former blocks/studios, plus the rooftop stories.
