I never thought it would get to bracknell even if it's weak they're doing well as it's only for south London I was wondering if it gets as far as flex does

What's the benefit of playing pre-recorded sets on loop until 3rd December when there's DJs playing live shows online? Why not just put out the live feed?

That's a very good question I think the previous 2 pirates in the last 11 years rinse and flex did the same thing perhaps they were not allowed to until the launch in full?

Looks a good site, can't get it, lot of noise on 94.4 here -R4 bleed. Can get Flex though, albeit weakly, clearer frequency. (Essex side

Very impressive signal with 50w, what's the antenna they're using?

As far as I recall Upfront 99.3 used to come from that same block as well.bravedaveyboy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 12:26 pm That's an impressive looking antenna setup. There is also video footage of it here, plus the 360 degree view from atop Countisbury House. It's no wonder this site used to be used by pirates.

Worth the investment IMO, not like it's gonna be lost to thieves / Ofcom - Good luck to em, hope they can maintain their programming and audience, hopefully not go the way of others that have turned legalteckniqs wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 10:37 amwhitenoisedb wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 10:07 pm Very impressive signal with 50w, what's the antenna they're using?![]()

Re: Select UK's new FM frequency??
That's interesting because Select Radio were on 99.3 before they voluntarily went off air in order to obtain their licence. Perhaps they were using Countisbury House back in their pirate days too. Certainly I used to receive them on 99.3 really well here in Bermondsey SE1, as well as I receive them on 94.4 now in fact.
There are some internet documents showing a bit of history.
The site was raided on January 3rd 2006 and Whoa FM was taken off air:

Then on January 28th 2020 the site was raided again and two pirate stations were taken off air, I have no idea of the identity of these two. Could one of them have been Select Radio in its pirate 99.3 days? Their licence was awarded on May 12th 2020 so it's possible.
Then on November 17th 2020 the site was raided yet again and a pirate station was taken off air. No idea of the identity of the station.
