Re: Playback
I do enjoy it , but at the same time , the djs constantly talking through the music. It’s annoying.

Re: Playback
I'm back home now in Bermondsey SE1. Yes, they are back on. Their previous signal was in stereo with RDS. This new one is just as strong but monaural and with no RDS (as you spotted).
I've often wondered what this means when this happens, as it often happens to other stations in the same way. I always assume it means that the original site has been compromised and gone off air, and the station has found a different site, or is using a backup site, with an inferior transmitter and rig in operation, one without stereo and RDS associated, perhaps until they can get the original site back up and running again. A similar thing seemed to happen to S-Dance recently.

Re: Playback
I would say your probably almost correct but at the same time they might just want to change back to mono. Stereo needs a super powerful rig. Also the whole setup would need to be stereo equipment otherwise it’s just a stereo signal with mono audio.

Re: Playback
Its usually because they've been raided and are using backup equipment of a lesser power or quality

Re: Playback
Seem to be playing a lot more dnb lately. Every time I've tuned in the last week or so it's been drums. Is this a deliberate change of direction or just random?
