108.0 FM
Been hearing a lot of headbanging jumpup DnB the past couple of days with a little House and Trance earlier on today on 108.0MHz, just nonstop music no idents or hosting.
Signal is clear with little hiss but it's only giving me one bar of signal so it could be quite close.
....I am using 5 element vertical beam facing facing London from Worthing West Sussex.
Anyone else hearing this??

Re: 108.0 FM
Looks like there is "scrolling" RDS with a phone number trying to show up, most of the time it's just mumbo-jumbo coming up on the display but I think I have managed to get the name on the RDS: DEVA'STN
Devastation FM, what a name!

Re: 108.0 FM
Finally got them around the M25/M23 junction. Strong with RDS but no modulation!
if it ain't broke, keep tweaking

Re: 108.0 FM
Signal's dropped to me, no longer getting it with RDS at all at mine and the one bar of signal strength is now flickering instead of staying there solid with RDS fighting the way through.

Interesting! The area they cover desperately needs a pirate station playing the music they do. Anyone know if there's a live stream or website for these guys anywhere? Can only find a FB page but no website or stream are listed/posted anywhere.

Re: 108.0 FM
Just seems to be the same DnB mixes going round and round and around.... (no idents or jingles etc ever heard)
Although there was a proper decent Old Skool/New Skool mix the other night with many rare classic gems playing and a few of which I hadn't heard before, but I don't listen to it much as it's usually just heavy headbanging jump-up DnB.....not my cuppa tea.

Sounded like someone was live on there last night giving out phone number etc. First time I've heard anyone speak etc, was just the same pre-rec mixes playing every week

Shazam IDs it as "Weapons Of Power" by Pleasure, released in 2009 on Calypso Muzak.

This station is on and off more than a whore's draws. Just comes back on and goes back off randomly. Probably a dodgy rig or someone keeps switching it off....

Re: 108.0 FM
Been very badly over modding/over deviating for the past 2 months+ so not been able to listen. Might be a good enough signal in the very same town but sounds so bad and completely unlisteable in weaker signal areas like mine 20 miles away and totally unlistenable....reverend wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 2:19 pm Found a web-site for them: https://www.facebook.com/Devastation108fm/
Sounding earlier towards the year but far too much distortion now.

Re: 108.0 FM
I've heard this lot on 108.0 heading home down the M23 occasionally. Would be nice if they did sort their audio out as the tunes do sound kinda decent when I've heard them. Anyone know if they're streaming on the web anywhere?
Gotta give them props for the station name though! Very clever!

Re: 108.0 FM
Reasonable signal over a wide area, just a bit more engineering needed and could be a really good station. Shame if its not often live. But the plus side is nobody chatting nonsense over the tunes

Re: 108.0 FM
Yeah for the past couple of months it's been unlistenable here with horrible distortion about 30 miles away.

Re: 108.0 FM
They probably set the level by ear, close to the transmitter, which is the common mistake. How can they not notice though when driving around?
