Re: Wk-end 108 fm
I'm picking them up loud and clear in Bermondsey SE1, mono, RDS is "WK-END" and locks on straight away, really strong signal.
They're currently playing drum and bass.
I give them a few days at most, 108.0 is taboo because of the bandwidth of a centre frequency of 108.0 encroaching as far as 108.1, part of the aircraft band used for navigational aids and landing systems. Ofcom will take the down pretty quickly I should think.

Only 2 stations lasted anytime on 108 pointblank for a few years in the late 90s though till 2007 and then unknown for a few years after and pointblank was mostly only weekends then but in the last 10 years it's been strictly policed by ofcom more than 87.5

That one didn't last very long. Went off air last night and still off this morning. I notice that Venture FM is also off.

Re: Wk-end 108 fm (now 99.7)
This station has shifted frequency to 99.7 and is currently airing silence with RDS active. That's a bad choice of frequency as the long-standing Supreme FM is only 100 kHz away at 99.8. I'm bringing in both stations here in Bermondsey SE1 but Supreme FM is splattering all over Wk-End, and Wk-End's silent signal is severely weakening Supreme's signal quality. When Wk-End starts broadcasting audio the two stations will annihilate each other. Mutual assured destruction. At least here in Bermondsey anyway.
If there's anyone reading this from Wk-End you should try one of these four channels instead perhaps?:

You sure it’s not just someone with a 30w china rig off their house ? They don’t seem to know what they’re doing. If they knew they definitely would not want to be interfering with supreme.

Re: Wk-end 108 fm
It could be, I have no idea. I'm still picking up something on 99.7, although Supreme on 99.8 is now making it almost inaudible. It could be Wk-End but the RDS won't lock on anymore, as Supreme is very strong here tonight. I agree they certainly don't know what they're doing in terms of frequency choices, they were using 108.0 two weeks ago, a massive blunder on their part. There are other, much better, frequencies they could choose.

Can confirm it's WK-END. In 2020-21 99.7 was taken up by Intent Live, for a year or so. They also made a brief return this year but only for a couple of weeks.

Makes sense for them to use their old frequency then, thanks for the heads up! Similar music selection to what they had previously & good signal here in west London. Barely a trace of Supreme, although that's always been the case on this side of town.whitenoisedb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 4:51 pm I received a notification yesterday that Intent Live have renamed their Facebook page to WK-END

Re: Wk-end 108 fm
Whereas here in Central South East London they are completely wiped out by a very strong Supreme on 99.8. That's proper London regional broadcasting then! I wonder if they were previously seeking a new frequency in order to not crash into Supreme. 108.0 was an awful choice though, because of the overspill into the aircraft band. They should try 106.5 instead, it's a lovely clear channel since Project vacated it, 300 kHz away from Heart on 106.2 and Rinse on 106.8. Perhaps they need a lesson in spectrum planning!urbanocturnal wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 4:57 pmMakes sense for them to use their old frequency then, thanks for the heads up! I see that, although their website at https://intentlive.com is still showing their old name, rather than their new Facebook name of Wk-END. The stream matches the 99.7 broadcast.whitenoisedb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 4:51 pm I received a notification yesterday that Intent Live have renamed their Facebook page to WK-END

Update: their signal was good for the first few days over here, now it has become quite a bit weaker and seems to drift in and out strength-wise.

Why’s it called wk-end if it’s on 24/7 ?

Re: Wk-end 108 fm
Easy guy's it's a name we came up with for a doc/film we've working on for the past year celabrating dance music culture, underground radio and also how it influenced todays music. As we all know most land based radio started broadcasting only at weekends and We feel WK-END sums up the sad demise of underground radio in london.
Hope this answered all of your questions..

Re: Wk-end 108 fm
Maybe its partly to do with Radio Jackie on 107.8. That has supporters/FM listeners way beyond its official 107.8 service area (as does Caroline on 648kHz) who might be good at complaining of a fringe reception being disturbed by something 0.2 awaybravedaveyboy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 12:49 pm I'm picking them up loud and clear in Bermondsey SE1, mono, RDS is "WK-END" and locks on straight away, really strong signal.

Re: Wk-end 99.7 fm 105.6 fm
107.8 has complained in the past but it's much more to do with 108 being partly out of band
