Hot Digital Online 90.0
Looks like Hot Digital Online may have changed transmitter sites, or may have upgraded their existing transmitter and/or antenna, as their mono 90.0 signal is suddenly very strong in Bermondsey SE1 today. It's always been very weak here previously, although a constant presence for some years now. Currently silent but with scrolling RDS: "HOT DIGITAL ONLINE".
On a related note I have always touted 90.0 as a potential frequency for Ofcom licenced Rainbow Radio, if it ever makes it onto FM in London.

Yes I agree because 90.0 is exactly the same as 94.4 with the bbc national stations as is 92.2 that has also been used

Re: Hot Digital Online 90.0
I predicted the use of 92.2, 94.4, 90.0, and 99.5 in London some years ago.
Now 92.2 is Nomad, 94.4 is Select, and 99.6 is Scout, up there in Chingford (I was 100 kHz out with that one).
So, only 90.0 left now!

Because of the BBC alication of the frequencies they are 2.2 apart as with radio 3 crystal Palace 91.0 and radio 4 93.2 and I am only talking between 88 to 94 and I did not mention 99.5 that's someone else guessing

90.0: Between Radio 2 Caterham (89.7) and Radio 3 Guildford (90.3), 300 kHz away from both, a great clear channel;XXL wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 2:46 amWhy those frequencies?bravedaveyboy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 2:14 pmI predicted the use of 92.2, 94.4, 90.0, and 99.5 in London some years ago.

92.2: Between NuSound (92.0) and Radio 4 Guildford (92.5), NuSound only 200 kHz away so this one only suitable for S/W/SW London;
94.4: Between Radio 4 Caterham (94.1) and BBC London (94.9), 300/500 kHz away from them, a great clear channel;
99.6: Between Radio 1 Caterham (99.3) and Kiss (100.0), 300/400 kHz away from them, a great clear channel.
You did ask.

Re: Hot Digital Online 90.0
Interesting to see if 90.0 gets allocated as that is 10.6MHz from Classic on 100.6 from Crystal Palace.
99.6 for Chingford is 10.8MHz from BBC Radio 2 Crystal Palace 88.8 but as that area is covered by Wrotham and the distance and power levels involved is not an issue.
Still no sign of Rainbow though, will be surprised if they get on air before the grace period expires.

Re: Hot Digital Online 90.0
They have two years from the date of award to launch, which was 12 May 2020 so not much time left.
