I actually caught the last 30mins as I drove through Northwich but lost it in Appleton , don’t know what kinda antenna you have in Walkden

hi lee, the antenna i use is a Sirio GPA 66-108 - 1/4W Ground Plane Antenna (4M/VHF) take a look on the amazon uk page, i would give you the link but it aint showing up on here for some reason. btw i just have it leaning againt my window, getting overdrive around 2 bars signal strength. quite clear to.

I use a beam on my SDR , but don’t get even a whiff of anything audible.
I may try a different antenna but tbh I doubt it would make much difference as i’m in a dip here.

i am half way up a hill that probably helps, i can also receive classic fm 100.7 from anglesey and hear BBC wm 95.6 from birmingham, mar 87.5, Viking 96.9 and BBC radio humberside 95.9 if i move my antenna to another window.

I can’t even get MAR and i’m significantly closer. I’ve heard them years ago but not since.
I’m also have a 5 element yagi
I’m not sure I can warrant buying new gear just to get overdrive, I suspect it won’t be much better than my Airspy HF+ Discovery or my Sony fm tuner.
It looks cheap enough tho

Interesting weekend's listening here in Cheshire with listening to a blast from the past testing on 87.5 on Sunday May 5th was Radio Corsair ( the original). Then on Monday May 6th, Radio Overdrive was heard on 101.4. A brilliant weekend of pirate radio in my area.

I was getting Elite Fm on 87.7 earlier in the South Wirral area.

I caught Concept on 100.8 yesterday with a fair signal but I didn't hear anything on 87.7 or 101.4. I've had a decent signal of Elite in the past but nothing yesterday although it's possible that I just missed it.

Nothing today so far.

Bank Holiday weekend pirate radio.
Sunday and Monday, Radio Overdrive on 101.4 was recieved Crewe area. Also Wk End Radio on 100.8. No MAR recieved this Sunday on 87.5mhz. Tried to recieve Elite fm on 87.5mhz but was inaudible to me.

Sounds like Cfm returns on 105.Last heard Wednesday evening.Keep an listen out on 105.Few stations seem to be using it around Liverpool.Nice to hear them back on.
