Good Frequencies

Looking for good frequencies to use.
Tyne and Wear, Newcastle and Gateshead area.
Any help will be appreciated.

Check to see whats in use in your area, try to stay at least 0.2 away. Ideally 0.3.

Assuming in Newcastle theres no other pirates on air. If there is then try to stay 0.2 to 0.3 away from them too.

Once you've found a channel you think is clear then drive up the nearest hill and check it really is.

Also try to stay away from 87.7 if you can. Its used for RSLs which won't be on any of the list sites and you might not be able to hear them, but youll still wipe them out with a high power rig.

As Jvok stated you really need to have a listen. Doubt you would have much accept commerical stations up there?

You might want to avoid using the relay frequencies of bbc stations, while ago someone was driving around tuned to an out of area frequency for radio 2 the station ended up been raided, the difference between 88.3 and 89.3 quite hard for someone to see, think its quite common for people to be tuned to the wrong transmitter. It even happened with a community radio station, sandwhiched between radio 4 frequencies, somone was tuned to the wrong transmitter thought it was interfering with it not been pirate there was nothing they could do about it.
