If that is the same HITS FM was it on 102 or thereabouts or maybe 100.x. it might have moved around a bit. Just pop music and a phone line. I used to hear it East side well. The VO was done by another person GS, but maybe he only did the VO. There was also something called The Music Machine.
At the time I thought both were Veronica Supergold related.

Nope - Boring Barry & Co ("Veronica Supergold") did run a secondary "Hits" station briefly. As I recall, it came from Walthamstow, so that was probably what you heard.
The guy with the 0898 lines found that advertising his services on the West London Hits FM was more effective than advertising in the newspapers or certain magazines! It was one of the few land-based pirate stations that actually made money!

Not sure where the boring label comes from Albert ? I met him a few times and he seemed like a nice bloke to me and I liked the stations he was involved with. Seemed to have the right spirit. I was not very involved in prate radio just messing about.Albert H wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 12:46 pm Nope - Boring Barry & Co ("Veronica Supergold") did run a secondary "Hits" station briefly.
