A few posters here have an interest in FM dxing during suitable weather/Atmospheric conditions but today I tried a spot of DAB DXing North of Belfast and received the Failte DAB multiplex from Dublin (7C) and the Liverpool ILR multiplex (10C) and Newry SSDAB multiplex.
Also the Ayr ILR multiplex (11B) from Scotland although this comes in here on high ground anyway.

Re: DAB DXing
That Fàilte DAB multiplex comes in on 7C in some places and 5B in others. One transmitter is Balbriggan (North of Dublin) and the other is at Mount Oriel (Near Drogheda) don't know why they're not both on the same frequency as I thought that was the whole point of DAB
?
They've four other transmitters further South
Good selection of stations on there including some former pirates.

Re: DAB DXing
Sometimes i’ve rescanned found beacon key 103, odd station, don’t know if the audio played, you might be hearing some distant licenced ILR station, would be different if you get some dutch esemble coming through get the audio.
When I was tuning over fm I always wanted to hear something different, suppose it just happened the pirates were playing something different were far away/hard to get were dx, alot of dxers are interested in hearing a distant transmitter not interested in the content. In some ways it is a struggle to maintain an interest, without there been much exciting out there, we’ve long found other ways of finding new music through the internet, which has meant radio plays 2nd fiddle, I don't know if i'll be able to get overly excited over seeing a list of stations.
I suppose getting the audio to come through on something far away might be problem, might just see a list of stations, I see is the problem with this. I think all frequencies for small scale dab are taken here, I don’t see how anything much could come through. I suppose people living on the south coast might beable get something, maybe they'll get some audio coming through on some french radio station.
