Leeds DAB off-air

Post by ehsanspicedigital » Wed Jul 09, 2025 8:13 pm

Hi all, has anyone noticed problem with leeds dab, been off air since past 2 weeks and comes back on for a few seconds every few minutes and cuts out again. don’t know what the problem could be, definitely something to do with either the multiplexer or the transmitter as all stations go down at the same time, and signal completely disappears.

They use 3 locations for the DAB transmitter sites and the signal has not changed in strength so it must definitely be a problem with their opendab setup or the microwave link system that feeds them.

Just confirmed with one of the lads at Digris. It is inferred a link fault.

I think its gone into cul de sac, there was a time when there did seem to interesting stations coming and going, it seems now theres just the same stations there, mostly asian stations and allstar which seems have alot of waffle, i’ve not noticed any change in the signal here, maybe all we can talk about. Does seem sometimes radio can be a dead end road, alot of times noone wants to talk about it, in the end you don’t want to talk about it.
