Yup. I'm quite keen to get back in touch with Ian who was one of their engineers

Didn't they come back as another station around 7 years ago on 87.9 as Rush?

Midlands Rush? Or was that something completely different? Remember it being mentioned on Radio Pirates a lot back in the day. I think there was even a stream link to it on the Radio Pirates homepage.
I'm giving up on you guys cos you're all gimps

I don't think Midlands Rush was anything to do with Dimension, they done a final broadcast after the studio raid and that was it. It was my understanding that the owner fell out with some of the DJ's around that time, whether he was involved with Midland Rush or some of the other DJ's moved onto there I don't know, as the station got pretty big.

It was pretty obvious that if Dimension came back it was just going to get raided in to oblivion. Original Dimension management had had enough - but lots of the DJ's hadn't.james_wilson16 wrote:I don't think Midlands Rush was anything to do with Dimension,
Rush was different management, but lots of the same DJs....

Lol long time ago now must have been 98 I used to chat to him on the mobile when Dimension was doing well. He used to send me tapes down as I was a pirate radio fanatic but my area doesn't really see much if any pirates

Hi all, blast from the past and an old thread but was linked to this by a mate and made me chuckle a little
Dimension was a sound track to my youth. It then gave me my first break DJing and I'm forever grateful for that. Pleasure still to be good mates with the people who were involved.
As for these days, Dimension did a live stream recently over Facebook and will most likely do one in the summer again - I'll link you up when it's organised again.
Take care!

Dimension ended in Sept 2003 after a raid and a few DJs did come over to us after it ended - there was no fallouts. Rush ended in April 2010 and again no fallouts, we suffered a big raid (third time) and it came a little close to home - innocent people had their houses rearranged by Ofcom which gutted me at the time.james_wilson16 wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2015 4:50 pm I don't think Midlands Rush was anything to do with Dimension, they done a final broadcast after the studio raid and that was it.
