....So it's going right the way over London, through Surrey, all the way into Hampshire. That's pretty damn decent for an Essex based station and I've not heard of anything from there hitting Hants before.

On the FM, probably that thing which came on from the Irish mountains using 1 megawatt ERP.DJ Mikey wrote:That's some distance Wow, what's the furthest a Pirate has got before ? (From A to B)
I got a Sony ST-SB920 and Pioneer F-676 with one of those shitey circular halo aerials. Both are great tuners, the Sony can be modded for dxing by changing the filters inside. The Pioneer has "super narrow" feature which works really well when two stations are 100khz away from each other. I would say the Pioneer is best for pulling in a weak signal, it can pick up stuff the Sony cant even receive (unmodded). I mainly use the Sony for signal readings and RDSteckniqs wrote:What receiver and antenna do you use?

I've got one of those in silver but it still has the standard filters. Currently using a Sony XDR-F1HD which is great for stations 100KHz apart and the most sensitive tuner I've ever used.s2000 wrote:I got a Sony ST-SB920 and Pioneer F-676 with one of those shitey circular halo aerials.
