Did Steve May also design and sell the hot air 40 watt transmitter or was that another Steve, i think the hot air guy was called Steve but cannot remember his last name.

No that was Steve from Stevenage who made the hot air rigs, 35 watts free running, but they were better than 50 Khz stable. A well made bit of kit for the time, but that was 20 Years ago! Good memory! He was nice nice guy as well.....
