I hope you declined.. Why let them have any inside information into what we do, they wont help fight your corner if it comes ontop.
I like the way it says all responses are kept completely confidential and are stored in password protected folders
Really now! don't be fooled my friend

Their field is criminology.
I don't see how this research study helps anything. I completed the survey and it doesn't seem give them much information.
I also don't see why they insist on asking the public questions relating to anything to do with science, especially common things like the magical fairies that make the music in your radio, or the way that the funny smelling fluid you buy per litre gets you to work. The general public as a whole can only be put in the "fucking stupid and ignorant" category, and quite what can be gleaned from a bunch of complete fuckwits, well, I don't know.
If you were to ask members of the general public why broadcasting illegally is, well, illegal, they'd probably answer something along the lines of "because it's illegal", or "it causes brainwash, I mean, interference". If you were to ask why it can cause interference, I doubt you'd get much.

Re: Just had this sent to me
And if you ask Ofcom why its illegal they will say 'interferance' and when you ask them how does it cause interferance and what proof do they have i then wonder what their answer would be same old bollox as per usual i expect, they are the 1s doing the brainwashing, i suppose council's and old bill believe all the tosh ofcom tell them, i bet they also believe the same bollox about pirate radio being gang related and how its involved with drugs, i read an article on how they said the pirates do coded messages over the air for drug deals lol i could not believe this crap they were coming out with, its embaressing and who ever believes the shit is even more embaressing. You couldnt make it up, The ranting/preaching african stations make more sense.
