small c&k horn link
anyone know if a small c&k link will go through thin tree branches about half mile away? I can see the rig site but its covered by the top of a tree.. never had to deal with trees getting in the way, just thought id ask before I go up there.

I used to link from a high tree in a mates garden with a normal c&k, distance of around a mile and on calm days it was good as gold, when it was windy it was proper grief with or without leaf so with a small c&k I would swerve it if you can unless your fixing it to a very stable tree that won't be moving in the wind.

No it's got 1 tree at the rig site that is slightly in the way, but it's only the very top of the tree so I just wonders if it would go through but sounds like a nightmare already lol. What about a big traffic light horn or would that be the same ?

If I'm honest with you mate them ADG220s off the lights will piss all over that little c&k...linking in while there are no leafs on the trees shouldn't be a problem it's when the trees start to bush out again you may struggle, have you thought about cutting down the tree lol?

Ubiquity wifi panels and a raspberry pi on the receiving end... Los doesn't need to be perfect, movement in small amounts is fine over a short enough distance.. Well worth looking into.
