Funky FM is to be on 103.7 in Southend

Just seen this.
Bit of a strange dial as that is very close to BBC Essex on 103.5 though the band is fulling up quite fast.
I would have picked 87.8 , 88.3 , 88.6 there much better numbers.
Hope the signal gets to Chelmsford.

87.8 is too close to R$L's so they wouldn't be going down there.
The best of luck to them, wonder what the coverage will be like and when they plan to start?

No info as yet id imagine maximum will be 15w as there only for southend not even surrounding areas good luck to them. Very weird choice of freq tbh dont expect them to be heard outside southend but you never know. They was on 91.6 over xmas from southend for a few days then went off not sure why they would bother coming on pirate again if they have a legal licence maybe they realised it would only cover 2 miles or so and want a pirate alternative.

If i remember Rinse was still broadcasting on 100.3 when they was offered 106.8

Your right but it was only for about a week and I think they had a call to remind them they could have been a problem if they carried on so they closed until the legal start

100.4 actually because there was another pirate at the time on 100.2 true fm then soon after that closed down and by September 2010 house fm moved from 88.6 to 100.3 and have been on it to the present
