Re: THANET
well they are on right now maybe try on a car radio see if you pick anything up on these dials.
if not maybe your just to far East to get these.
all you can do is get a wifi radio or put your own mini station on the FM.

I don't know where you can still buy a beam these days as the good old stuff seems to be discontinued?

Intresting not very different from what I have I suffer mostly from stations on the same frequency in different parts of the contry like 1003 cutting in so even with a bigger beam it would still come behind the arial

Re: THANET
I bet it would not last long on there even if you can still get on top.
even just having a low power station in your road might do at least there be something on a dial.

I've used it - it doesn't get out particularly well. There's a better block over on the Broadstairs road, just on the way in to Ramsgate. That one has been used loads of times.OldskoolPirate wrote:Setup your own station in margate on that big block by the sea front. 30w will do.

Re: THANET
I live in Thanet too and yes we have absolutely nothing at the moment. I'd love to hear one, I have a tune around now and then but all I get is Heart and French station hee hor hee hor'ing, so boring. Margate and Ramsgate tower blocks are great for height, Pysons Road too but not advisable there but it has been done, just a bit bait when your attaching aerials to phone masts or whatever. We are underserved down here, you might be lucky in getting some Essex or Medway stations ghosting in with then there's a lift in the weather but other than that there is zilch.
We have had Essence in the past thats the only longest serving one but thats been off for about ten years, Motiv8 on 90.4 by that Britain First bloke in Herne Bay and... thats about it. I just put on streams if I want to listen to a particular show of interest.

There's a thing that turns up occasionally on about 105MHz with the RDS "TRIMUSIC". It was on the last time I was down in Ramsgate, and had a cracking signal down the coast through Deal and onwards. That was about a year ago. I think that it might have been in stereo too.
