Looking about for a swr/power meter can't decide on one. What one's do people recommend other than a bird

What model CN101L ?

I've got a Zetagi HP500
Plugged tx into two different meters both said same wattage. Plugged into zetagi and it's about 50w out

Got an Avair. Never had a problem with it. Goes up to 400w+

I use a cross needle Avair & it's served me well for as long as I can remember.

I've also used a Daiwa 101 in the past & that was decent as well.

Zetagis are rubbish, tend to be for CB so will overread.
Avairs are okay but I've heard of them melting under high power.
Daiwa are nice and any model which covers the frequency range and power level you need will be fine.

I've got several and none of the commercial ones perform quite as well as my homebrew job. There was an article in QST some years ago about making your own Breune Bridge. I scaled their designs for 1kW and built the thing into an Eddystone box with a large meter movement removed from a cheap, broken multimeter.
There's a rotary switch for "forward", "reverse" and "off" (which shorts the meter movement to prevent damage in transit). It cost £25 to make and has worked flawlessly for years.

I decided to go with the daiwa cn 102L

Anyone know what the output power of this amp should be they say 200w on it but the chip is rated at 150w ?

You're likely to get the best part of 200 Watts out of it with the right power supply. Make sure you have a good big heatsink and that the airflow over it is plenty! If you look at the curves for the output device, you'll see that the SOAR ends close to 200 Watts. It's being pushed hard there, but it should survive if you get rid of the heat.

I got this amp up and running finally
Tested a few times through a slim
Runs at 200w no problem
