Tecsun PL380 - Anyone own one?

I'm looking for a budget priced receiver and have seen these on eBay for around £30.

Does anyone here own one and if so what are your thoughts about it? IE Selectivity, sensitivity, reliability, etc..

Go for the PL310 or the smaller PL606, the 380 is less sensitive than the other two and lacks an antenna jack socket. They are all the same price so go for one of the other two.

...I own both and personally my favourite is the 606 due to it being smaller slightly more sensitive than the rest.

You're welcome dude, I'm new to all this myself, rediscovering an old interest but I'm really impressed with those little tecsuns

Go for the 606, you won't be disappointed. It also comes with an aerial extender unlike the others which improves your FM and SW reception. I'd attach a long wire via the antenna socket running out into your garden for the best SW results.

pheonix fm 98.0? thats supposed to be a local station for brentwood and billeracy, their rig is on the council offices in brentwood which is on quiet low ground, unless they have moved.

The KMFM you say you were hearing on 108.0 is on 107.9, formally Medway FM.
