The launch of viking radio

Found this quite interesting the launch day of viking radio 1984, quite retro, cheesy of the time I do like all the frequency annoucements too, the mention of tsb the bank nolonger exists, the news item about heilcoptors was funny also.

Its something never really listened myself, apart from seeing how strong the signal was, you’d know when you were getting near the transmitter you would hear a mixture of radio stations on different frequencies with it been near to the main road. It still transmits, capital, hits, radio Humberside, same the number of transmissions, don’t know if the original transmitters that are still going.

Looks like its no-longer available what a shame
