I've been trying to get this to work, https://fmdx.org/projects/guide/receivers.php so I can easily tune about on my radio with grovelling around, using a laptop or tablet to to tune to it wherever, linux or windows connected to the internet is needed to make it work. I don't want to go connecting up my 15 year old windows laptop to the internet as it would be quite scary.
Wondering if there are any single board type things that would work, obviously the fact its connected to a radio means that it wouldn't have to put out interference on fm, i've not used linux before. I've got quite a few old hard drives from old freeview recorders, noway to get the recordings off with mac/windows, it might be useful having linux, as they work in linux, don't know if its worth doing that.
I've played about with a raspberry, found it quite hard to do anything though, were as windows you could download a program get it working in 5 minutes. I tried all sorts of things game emulation ps1, freeview box, the raspberry struggled to do this things, ps emulator didn't work at all or you had to pay to get freeview working, it would also spend hours compiling everything, in the end I had to stop it was making me ill.
are there any singleboard computers that could work with sdr
